First United Presbyterian Church

Earth Care

We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA). We treasure and cultivate our connections with Presbyterians across the United States and around the world.

Earth Care

FUPC is a certified Earth Care congregation, one of just three in Arkansas and the only one in Northwest Arkansas.

If you are looking for a green church, FUPC should be on your list of churches to visit.

Some of the measures we take to be good stewards of God’s creation:

  • We rely on renewable energy.
  • We are seriously committed to energy conservation.
  • We recycle.
  • We remove invasive species on our campus.
  • We care for natural spaces on our campus, including a rain garden, a butterfly garden, a labyrinth, and a nature play space for children.
  • We learn about environmental responsibility in Sunday School, worship services, and Vacation Bible School.
  • We have an Earth Care Task Force which works on these projects regularly. The Task Force meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 3:00 in the church library. You are welcome to join us!

We believe that we are called to be good stewards of God’s earth.

Join us! We hold worship services at 8:30 and 11:00 on Sunday mornings at FUPC, 695 E. Calvin, Fayetteville, AR, in the sanctuary.

Come to visit and consider joining the Earth Care Task Force.
