First United Presbyterian Church

Cooperative Emergency Outreach

CEO is a cooperative group of churches assisting members of the community in EMERGENCY situations as part of an OUTREACH ministry. Our church takes a monthly donation specifically for CEO and gathers non-perishable food items.

When a financial emergency occurs, whether due to illness, job loss, natural disaster, or any other emergency situation, CEO can help by providing

  • food
  • gasoline vouchers
  • clothing vouchers
  • utility assistance
  • rental assistance
  • prescription vouchers

Cooperative Emergency Outreach (CEO) provides emergency assistance to residents of Washington, County, Arkansas, and is open Monday-Friday from 1:00-3:00 pm. Supported by individual donations and by member churches, CEO is fully staffed by volunteers. First United Presbyterian Church was a founding member of, and continues to maintain a membership on the Board.

CEO is now located in a new, fully paid for, facility on Huntsville Road, one and a half miles east of South School Street, just west of Happy Hollow Road (MLK Blvd turns into Huntsville Road).

FUPC takes up an offering the first Sunday of each month for Cooperative Emergency, and invites members of the congregation to bring non-perishable food items that Sunday to stock the CEO pantry. Volunteers are always needed to assist with the many tasks involved in serving the community.

Cooperative Emergency Outreach provides emergency assistance to residents of Washington County, AR, living in Fayetteville, Cane Hill, Elkins, Farmington, Greenland, Goshen, Lincoln, Prairie Grove, Summers, West Fork, and Winslow. CEO regrets that they are unable to serve clients living outside of this area.
