Our Mission: To Stop Child Abuse and Save Lives.

Established in 1978, EOA Children’s House is the nation’s largest long-term center for early childhood abuse prevention and treatment. A division of Economic Opportunity Agency, Inc. (EOA), EOA Children’s House currently serves abused and/or neglected children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years.

Employing a “whole-child, whole-family” approach, EOA Children’s House provides occupational, speech, and physical therapy, counseling and educational services on site, year round, and family counseling and parental skills training are available to ensure families receive the care and support they need. Everything we do is focused on creating lasting, positive change to prepare each child not only to enter public school on equal footing with their classmates, but also to build self-confidence to lead a happy, healthy life.

In March of 2011, EOA Children’s House moved to its new home – The Pat Walker Center for Children in north Springdale. EOA Children’s House can now serve up to 72 children at one time, including an Infant Wing for children as young as six weeks. Since our founding, we have served more than 4,600 children and their families in Northwest Arkansas.

Julie Olsen, a member of First United Presbyterian Church, is the Director of Development for EOA Children’s House. There are many ways you can volunteer your time and talents to EOA Children’s House. Whether you volunteer a few times a year or on a regular basis, you will help bring healing and hope in the lives of the children in our care.
