It’s Back to School season, and at FUPC we’re inviting you Back to Church!

The kickoff Sunday is August 20, 2023.

Some of you have been in church every week, some have not come back since the pandemic and are attending via livestream, and some of you may not yet have visited.

We want to encourage everyone to try to come in person! Please come, on your own or with your friends and family. Invite someone new to join you, too!

Here are the events planned for this big day. 

• 8:30 Outdoor Worship with Communion.
• 9:30 Everyone meets first in the Covered Gathering Space to celebrate our children and dismiss them to their classes, then we’ll have a Kick–Off Gathering for adults in Upper Witherspoon with an overview of Fall Programming.
  
• Presentation of PW Honorary Lifetime Membership. Light breakfast food will be served.
• Fall Sunday School begins for Children and Youth
  • 3 year–olds—2nd grade will meet in Lower Knox, Corner Room
  • 3rd grade—5th grade will meet in Lower Knox, Yellow Room
  • Younger Youth (grades 6 and 7) will meet in Lower Knox, Blue Room, end of hall
  • Youth (grades 8 through 12) will meet in Lower Witherspoon
    Food will be available for the children and youth in their classrooms.
• Refurbished bells will be on display in the Gathering Place
• 11:00 Worship in the sanctuary with communion—a new sermon series is starting!
• 12:00 Outdoor/Indoor Picnic and Splash Party. All food will be provided. Wear clothes you won’t mind getting wet or bring swimsuits and towels!
• 4:00 Vespers Service at Butterfield Village
