The Food Angels Will Continue!

We are very excited to announce that we are continuing our Food Angel initiative into 2021!

At the beginning of Advent, FUPC announced that we would be collecting canned goods for Cooperative Emergency Outreach at our Nativity scene. Coleman Ward and Leigh Woodruff created “Food Angels” – a series of shelves designed to hold donated canned goods. FUPC members and friends donate canned goods by placing them on the Food Angels, and FUPC member David Clay delivers the donated goods to Cooperative Emergency Outreach twice a week.

This project has been incredibly successful due to the overwhelming generosity shown by our congregation and friends of the congregation. We have decided to leave the Food Angels up for a time and continue to accept donations. You are encouraged to bring canned goods to donate to Cooperative Emergency Outreach, benefiting local families.

Canned fruits, chunky soups, pinto beans, and pork and beans are the most requested items, though all canned items are appreciated.

Thank you!
