An event every week that begins at 9:30 am on Sunday, repeating indefinitely
We have reached the deadline for expressing book preferences, and the book that has by far received the most votes is the book Caste: The Origins of our Discontents, by Isabel Wilkerson. It is a book that is being widely read across the country, and has received many accolades and awards. It is especially timely in light of the deepened racial awareness that the events of the summer regarding persistent structural racism in our culture has generated. It is recent, having been published in 2020.
We will be using ZoomONE:
Here is the link to the book we will be using.
Please order the book as quickly as possible, and plan to read (or skim, if necessary) the very accessible and narratively-written first part, pages 3-35, before our discussion this coming Sunday, January 10 at 9:30 a.m.
