CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
The Christian Education Ministry is responsible
for instructional programs for all ages from birth to adult.
The CE Ministry oversees the operation of the nursery on Sunday
morning and for other events at which nursery care is provided.
The CE Ministry is responsible for Sunday School classes for
ages 3 through adult, including a confirmation class for 6th-7th
graders in alternate years. The Ministry also works with
church staff and volunteers to organize other programs such as
Sunday evening youth fellowship (UPY), Presbyterian Forum, mid-week
Bible Studies, and short-term series on Christian topics suggested
by members of the church.
Opportunities to serve on the
CE Ministry include any of its subcommittees with particular
oversight of education programs for children, youth, and adults.

Youth Classes
Sunday school for children is offered from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. for
ages 2 to 18. Parents should take their children to the Activity
Center in the Witherspoon building for an opening assembly at
9:30. The students will be divided into age appropriate classes
for small group lessons and reconvene for pickup at the Activity
Center at 10:30 a.m.
Summer Opportunities
Vacation Bible School for pre-school children through
sixth grade and church campus for all ages, including family camp.
First School
First
School is composed of a preschool and parent's day out program.
Our preschool program, for children ages three and over, consists
of a half day of instruction time with the option of extended
day until 2:30 p.m.
Our parents day out program, for children
aged six months by Sept. 15 to two years old, is designed designed
to provide primary caregivers a respite while their children are
cared for in a creative, nurturing and safe environment.
Preschool
children and older parents day out children participate in a balance
of social, physical, cognitive, artistic and spiritual activities,
both structured and unstructured. First School has the lowest
child-to-teacher ratios in the area.
Classes are on Monday-Wednesday-Friday
or Tuesday-Thursday during the school year. In the summer classes
are Monday-Wednesday or Tuesday-Thursday.
