quiet of our beautiful room. The library is available for small group
activities; come to the church office to schedule your group.
You are invited:
- Visit the library and check out books of interest to you and your family. The
library uses a card system to check out books -- fill in your name and the
current date on the card found in the back of the book and drop the card in the
box on the card catalog.
- Donate gently used, good quality books. Leave books in the office or call

First School

First School is an Arkansas Quality Accredited program that strives to offer a
faith-based, nurturing Parent's Day Out, Preschool and Kindergarten. It is an
outreach of the First United Presbyterian Church to our community.
Our parents-day-out program is designed for children ages six months by
September 15 to two years. The program provides primary caregivers a respite
while their children are cared for in a creative, nurturing and safe
environment.
Preschool children participate in a balance of social, physical, cognitive,
artistic and spiritual activities, both structured and unstructured. First
School has the lowest child to teacher ratios in the area.
Kindergarten is a five-day program designed for children 5 years of age that
would benefit from another year in a lower child-to-teacher ratio setting before
attending public school.
Preschool and Parents Day Out classes on Monday-Wednesday-Friday or
Tuesday-Thursday during the school year, offer a half day of instruction time
from 8:00 a.m. - noon, or the option of an extended day lasting until 2:30 p.m.
The five-day Kindergarten program also has the option of instruction from 8 a.m.
- 12 noon, or the extended day until 2:30 p.m.
During the summer, classes are offered for infants through elementary ages,
either Monday-Wednesday or Tuesday-Thursday.
If you have questions, please contact First School at 571-4516. The director is
Cathy Hairston.
